Final Anaconda Trailer is a ‘Nightmare’
Sony Pictures hope you’ll laugh until you’re blue in the face. Today they release one final cringe-making UK Trailer for the Anaconda remake.
Jack Black and Paul Rudd star in this comedic reboot of the 1997 film which starred Jennifer Lopez, Ice Cube and Jon Voight. Questions should be asked about remaking a critically panned movie only to replace it with something potentially worse. Black looks like he’s still Steve from Minecraft, while Rudd is Rudd, so you love him or hate him. It might get people laughing, but will it deliver at the box office?
Anaconda follows two friends stuck in a mid-life crisis who dream of remaking their favourite film, Anaconda. They head to the Amazon and the laughs turn into panic.
Next to Black and Rudd, this one stars Steve Zahn, Thandiwe Newton, Daniela Melchior, and Selton Mello.
Synopsis | Doug (Jack Black) and Griff (Paul Rudd) have been best friends since they were kids, and have always dreamed of remaking their all-time favourite movie: the cinematic “classic” Anaconda. When a midlife crisis pushes them to finally go for it, they head deep into the Amazon to start filming. But things get real when an actual giant anaconda appears, turning their comically chaotic movie set into a deadly situation. The movie they’re dying to make? It might just get them killed……
Anaconda will slide into UK and Irish cinemas on Boxing Day, December 26th, after opening in US cinemas on Christmas Day. Personally I’d rather stay at home and watch the original film.
