Feed On The Flesh Of Second Robert Egger’s Werwulf Trailer!
Universal Pictures wanted us to go ‘feral’ and now in the second UK Trailer for Robert Egger‘s Werwulf, they want us to ‘feed on flesh’.
After going full on gothic horror with a remake of the classic Nosferatu story, Eggers stays with the classics now the Lycanthrope story. His style and tone maybe capturing the praise from the critics, it’s a little trickier when it comes general film fan as it’s a niche style.
Werwulf stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson as our cursed farmer in 13th century medieval England. A village lives in fear as a mysterious stalks the lands around the village, creating the folklore.
What really stands out with this is the departure from the modern horror conventions. Going for a claustrophobic 1:37:1 square box ratio, telling the story in the style of a silent movie. This trailer captures something raw, visceral and Eggers with his regular cinematographer Jarin Blaschke (The Lighthouse, The Northman, Nosferatu) returning.
This also stars Lily-Rose Depp, Willem Dafoe, Ralph Ineson, Jack Morris, Bodhi Rae Breathnach, Jan Bijvoet, and Ritchi Edwards.

Werwulf will be in UK and Irish cinemas from 1st January 2027 (25th December in the U.S).
