The big hitters aiming for gold at February’s Oscars are rearing there heads gearing up for that push to become one of the contenders at the awards, pushing out new footage left right and centre.Stephen Daldry’s Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close an adaptation of Jonathan Safran Foerโ€™s novel has released has received it’s second trailer and though the film is a few months away from release however the American release is only weeks away so this is the final push to make that list. The trailer is slightly longer packed with new footage enough to pull at those heart strings giving a little more of the story but best of all no more manipulative U2 song which will cater better for Oscar panel.

The movie tells the story of Oskar(Horn) a boy who believes his father a victim of the 9/11 attacks has left a final message for them somewhere in New York City and embarks on a journey to discover the lock of the mysterious key he possess.Thomas HornTom Hanks, Sandra Bullock, Thomas Horn, James Gandolfini, Zoe Caldwell, Viola Davis, Jeffrey Wright, and Max von Sydow, make up the cast and line up like that, along with a emotional plotline should get this one at least a few nominations. Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close will be released in UK&Ireland 3rd February 2012, December 25th for USA.

Oskar (Thomas Horn) is convinced that his father (Tom Hanks), who died in the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center, has left a final message for him hidden somewhere in the city. Feeling disconnected from his grieving mother (Sandra Bullock) and driven by a relentlessly active mind that refuses to believe in things that canโ€™t be observed, Oskar begins searching New York City for the lock that fits a mysterious key he found in his fatherโ€™s closet. His journey through the five boroughs takes him beyond his own loss to a greater understanding of the observable world around him.
