You can ask anyone with a remote interest in film of all shapes and sizes we do enjoy watching something with potential and Speer’s Realm possess that potential. This 3 minute short certainly has enough leeway to be made into a feature length film possibly franchise too.
Realm centres around a a young woman called Claire Daniels who has the power to enter the soul of a possessed person to battle their inner demons. This is no ordinary exorcism as you’ll see as she’ll enter the subconscious of the possessed and it’s there she delivers the demon a nice ass-kicking dressed like Selene from the Underworld franchise. Claire herself is in a comatosed state to make it possible to ‘enter Realm of the soul’
Whilst keeping the momentum of the action we can see overall the film is compelling and shows Claire played by Adelaide Kane with quality.The snippet revealing outside the demon ass kicking she’s like every ordinary young woman, tough.
It hasn’t taken long for someone to snap this up with Relativity Media been the lucky party and according to Deadline who exclusively revealed this short, that a 6 figure deal has been signed. It’s believed Speer will direct with Vampire Diaries producer Rebecca Sonnenshine writing the script, with Step Up All In’s John Swetnam producing.
