Evil Takes Over In The Nun Timeline Featurette

James Wan may now be stepping into Superhero films with the soon to be released Aquaman but his heart is in the horror genre. After the success of Insidious, 2013 saw the release of The Conjuring, which has an ever-expanding universe. The latest is The Nun and already it’s putting the fear into cinephiles largely thanks to a now deleted Trailer.

Warner Bros. Pictures has released a brand new Featurette which explores the franchise timeline. Who said you have to be a comic book film to get a shared franchise universe? James Wan who created the universe now producing shares those thoughts in this new promo. He and David F. Sandberg (Annabelle: Creation director) help explain that timeline, will it set the scene for The Conjuring 3?

When a young nun at a cloistered abbey in Romania takes her own life, a priest with a haunted past and a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate. Together they uncover the order’s unholy secret. Risking not only their lives but their faith and their very souls, they confront a malevolent force in the form of the same demonic nun that first terrorized audiences in “The Conjuring 2,” as the abbey becomes a horrific battleground between the living and the damned.

The film stars Demian Bichir (A Better Life), Taissa Farmiga (American Horror Story), Jonas Bloquet (Elle), Charlotte Hope (Game of Thrones), Ingrid Bisu (Toni Erdmann) and Bonnie Aarons playing the titular character.

The Nun will be released in the UK, Ireland on 6th September and the USA from 7th September.
