‘Everyone’s Exceptional’ In Disney’s Encanto First Trailer

Yesterday we got teased by Disney with the official Poster for their upcoming animated adventure Encanto. Today as promised we get a chance to enjoy the first Trailer that tells us ‘everyone’s exceptional’.

Yesterday we got very little info on this apart from ‘Magical Home, Magical Family’. Now you can meet that family not just in the new trailer but also a second Poster which reveals both the Magical House and the Madrigal family.

Stephanie Beatriz leads the voice cast for this one. Set in Colombia, we follow the Madrigal family who live in a small enchanted town in the mountains. Every child born in the house is born with magical powers of healing until Maribel (Beatriz) was born. She  is the only one with no special abilities and quickly learns she maybe the only one to save her family which is now under threat.

The film is a celebration of the culture and all things Colombia. You can hear that in the new original song from the film, Colombia, Mi Encanto, performed by award winning singer and actor Carlos Vives. Oh did we also mention all the new songs created by Lin-Manuel Miranda!

It’s going to be Disney‘s 60th feature, which has a lot of charm and warmth, that ticks those boxes in what we want from a Walt Disney animation!

Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Encanto,” is the tale of an extraordinary family, the Madrigals, who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia in a magical house, in a vibrant town, in a wondrous, charmed place called an Encanto. The all-new original film features the voice of Stephanie Beatriz as Mirabel, an ordinary 15-year-old who’s struggling to find her place in her family. “Mirabel is a really funny, loving character who also deeply yearns for something more,” says Beatriz. “She’s also not afraid to stand up for what she knows is right—something I love and relate to very much.”

The voice cast also includes María Cecilia Botero, Wilmer Valderrama, Adassa, Diane Guerrero, Mauro Castillo, Angie Cepeda, Jessica Darrow, Rhenzy Feliz and Carolina Gaitan.

Disney‘s Encanto will arrive in UK and Irish Cinemas from 26th November (In USA it’s 24th November).
