Escape To Another World In Trailer For Stephen King’s Lisey’s

If there’s one writer whose books are rarely not adapted in any format, it’s Stephen King. Next month will see his 2006 book, Lisey’s Story adapted for the streaming world and today Apple TV+ release the official Trailer.
The supernatural romance drama stars Julianne Moore as Lisey Landon who is struggling to cope with the death of her famous novelist husband (played by Clive Owen) two years previously. She must face repressed memories of her marriage she has deliberately blocked out of her mind, thanks to aĀ series of unsettling events.
The 8 part series is directed by Pablo Larrain (Neruda, Jackie) with King himself scripting each episode. Many are happy King has taken a deeper role in the limited series to make sure the magic and horror of the books is adapted faithfully to the screen. Based on the best-selling novel by Stephen King, and adapted by the author himself, āLiseyās Storyā is a deeply personal thriller that follows Lisey Landon (Academy Award winner Julianne Moore) two years after the death of her husband, famous novelist Scott Landon (Academy Award nominee Clive Owen). Directed by Pablo LarraĆn, āLiseyās Storyā hails from J. J. Abramsā Bad Robot Productions and Warner Bros. Television. In a rare step, every episode of the series was personally written by Stephen King. King, Moore, and LarraĆn executive produce alongside Abrams, Ben Stephenson and Juan de Dios LarraĆn.
The seriesĀ cast also includes Joan Allen, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Dane DeHaan, Ron Cephas JonesĀ andĀ Sung Kang.
