Dwayne Johnson Lays The Smackdown In New Snitch Trailer &TV Spot
Whilst Dwayne Johnson becomes The Rock for one more night on Sunday at The WWE Royale Rumble to kick CM Punk’s candy ass, a brand new second Snitch trailer and TV Spot has landed online.
Snitch tells the tale of a father (Johnson) who finds his teenage son is in serious looking at a serious stint in prison when he’s accused of drug smuggling but refuses to ‘rat’ on the people who a really responsible. Determined to not see his son go down for something he didn’t do he volunteers to go undercover to clear his son’s name.
The action thriller genre is in the need of TLC with action veterans Stallone, Willis and Schwarzenegger (though we love The Last Stand)all doing their best concrete over the cracks keep things going but Johnson is one of the faces to get the genre back on track. Looking at the footage we’ve seen before Snitch might just deliver on it’s promise. This new trailer has fresh unseen footage which seems to deliver better understanding of the plot with plenty of time for the Rock to do what he does best Lay The Smackdown in some action.
Snitch stars Susan Sarandon, Barry Pepper, Benjamin Bratt, Michael Kenneth Williams and Jon Bernthal. Snitch will be unleashed in UK&Ireland 5th April, USA 22nd February.
Action superstar Dwayne Johnson headlines this fast-paced thriller as a father whose teenage son is wrongly accused of a crime and is sentenced to 10 years in jail. In order to clear his son’s name, he dangerously goes undercover and risks everything, including his own life, to reduce his son’s sentence.
The ensemble cast includes Academy Awards Winner Susan Sarandon, Emmy Nominee Benjamin Bratt, and Golden Globe Nominee Barry Pepper.
Inspired by a true story, the screenplay was written by Justin Haythe (THE LONE RANGER, REVOLUTIONARY ROAD, THE CLEARING) and adapted by the film’s director Ric Roman Waugh.
