DVD Review – Pet (2016)

Following Seth (Dominic Monaghan), a man who kidnaps a young woman called Holly (Ksenia Solo)who he has fallen in love with, always on edge as he is keeping her locked in a cage in the basement on the veterinary surgery he works in. Making sure no one finds his victim proves to be a challenge when things begin to go horribly wrong.

I was really excited to see Pet, it really seemed like a film I would love and I am happy to say it is exactly that. It has to be one of the best horror films I have seen in ages, So suspenseful and nail-biting tension from the start.

As the film went on I honestly did not know where the film would go. I was expecting something very very different from what I got and for that reason, I loved the film even more because it caught me off guard a little.

In my synopsis of the Pet, I am trying very hard not to say too much about the film as I want you all to go and see for yourselves what an incredible piece of horror cinema this is!

Also, something that I was encouraged to do from other reviews of the film was to at all costs avoids the trailer. After seeing the film I know why now as the trailer gives a little too much away. It is a film that is very much a must watch and a film to avoid all spoilers. I honest can say that if I had known what was going to happen before seeing the film I don’t think I would have liked it as much, I, of course, would have still liked it and recommended it because it is, in general, a very good film.

The acting was incredible, the story was incredible and I can not really say anything bad about this film other than wow go and see for yourself. It is pretty awesome. Gore hounds will love it and horror fans will enjoy the story and I think there is pretty much something for everyone in the film.

Overall I can say this was a master class film and I can not wait to own it on Blu-ray.

Outstandingly chilling
