Summer is over and Autumn has arrived which means we’re weeks away from the next Marvel Phase Two movie Doctor Strange. Shortly we will enter the final month of promotion and Marvel have announced the UK&Irish release date has now changed.

Before you get emotional is actually slightly good news. This morning via Marvel UK& Ireland twitter feed it was announced the 28th October has changed to 25th October. This new may not be sensational news story, more of one will bring a smile to fans faces. Our journey into the Quantum Realm will now be earlier, the 14th movie of Marvel Cinema Universe.check out the tweet…

For American MCU fans I’m afraid the U.S.A release date is still 4th November but since Iron Man 2 back in 2010 this has become a standard move from Marvel. A practice that has been excited UK&Irish cinephiles as well as few other main European countries. It’s a move that’s annoyed some American cinephiles however when you look at the overall movie calendar there is plenty of movies USA get months ahead of UK.

Doctor Strange follows the story of neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange(Benedict Cumberbatch) who, after a horrific car accident, discovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions. Hoping to regain his skills once again Strange looks to the unique mystic Healer known as the Ancient One to help him finding himself a master of the mystic arts. Thus bringing great responsibilities thanks to those great powers.

The movie will take Marvel Cinema Universe is a completely different direction form the previous 13 movies. Away from the traditional spandex super powered heroes to one a character that masters the power of magic. Question is will Stephen Strange be the new Sargent Fury, thanks to his powers to jump into alternate realities? All will be revealed on 25th October!

Doctor Strange also stars Chiwetel Ejiofor , Michael Stuhlbarg, Benedict Wong, Rachel McAdams, Scott Adkins, Amy Landecker, and Mads Mikkelsen.
