Tim Burton’s 2010 ย Alice In Wonderland is further proof that money talks, if you rake it in no matter how critically acclaimed your film maybe your a success. Making over $1 billion at the box office worldwide ย but was critically destroyed by critics for its below average storytelling and flat 3D it is no surprise that Disney have announced there will be a Sequel.

When you throw in two Oscars for Art Direction and Costume Design it is no surprise we have the sequel got the green light ย and even at this stage of the project they already have an writer in place to create the films script.ย Linda Woolverton who scripted Alice will once again do the honours with the new film, as the film dipped into Lewis Carriol’s Alice In Wonderland and Alice Through The Looking Glass there’s no word on exactly if the new film will follow suit.

There is no early indications that Tim Burton will direct nor any of the main cast ofย Johnny Depp, Mia Wasikowska, Helen Bonham Carter and Anne Hathaway will return too. Despite the misgivings of Burton’s version of the film, we have to say his visual eye is his strongest point ย and if he says no to going back to Wonderland Disney have a hard job finding someone who can match that visual ability with strong entertaining story telling.
