Denzel Washington And Robert Pattinson Join Netflix Heist Movie Here Comes The Flood
According to ComingSoon, Denzel Washington and Robert Pattinson will officially be joining Fernando Meirelles‘ upcoming Netflix heist movie, Here Comes the Flood. The movie is written by Simon Kinberg, who will also be producing the project alongside Meirelles and Audrey Chon. Samson Mucke will serve as executive producer on the movie.
Washington and Pattinson will star alongside Daisy Edgar-Jones for this new movie. The official synopsis is as follows: “Here Comes the Flood is an unconventional heist movie about a bank guard, a teller, and a master thief in a deadly game of cons and double crosses.” No further plot details have been revealed at this time.
Meirelles is best known for movies such as The Constant Gardner, The Two Popes and City of God, which he co-directed alongside Kátia Lund. Washington was last seen in 2024’s Gladiator II as the character Macrinus. His upcoming projects include Highest 2 Lowest, a remake of Akira Kurosawa’s High and Low from director Spike Lee.
Pattinson recently starred in the lead role of Bong Joon Ho’s Mickey 17. Soon, he will be appearing in Lynne Ramsay’s Die, My Love, which will premiere at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, as well as Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey. Edgar-Jones, on the other hand, is best known for 2024’s Twisters, where she starred alongside Glen Powell, and 2022’s Fresh.
A release date for Here Comes the Flood has yet to be announced by Netflix.
