Apart from been the month of my birth, July is also the month Comic-Con in San Diego, California which usually means the floodgates will open up on those films, tv shows attending. One of those films will be be Marvel Entertainment’s 2013 blockbuster Iron Man 3, which has recently started production but today a new piece of concept art has been revealed online.
Via Marvel’s Twitter a great looking piece of art from Ryan Meinerding which show what looks like Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jnr) about to do battle with some unknown men with guns pointed at him. It looks like he has been interrupted whilst about to change into one of his suits which could suggest the location could be Stark Industries HQ where we saw an image of many suits recently. His arm is smoking which could suggest the suit is alot more ‘organic’ than previously which maybe a first look at a new way of delivering the Iron Man suit at short notice or simply he’s in midflight of some medical procedure or confirming a previous film rumour.
The Extremis storyline has been rumoured for a while been Iron Man 3’s plot in which Tony Stark injects himself with a serum that would let him live with the uniform letting him change into iron man at as quick as click your fingers. No one knows the exact story just yet but looking at the evidence the Extremis would be the logical choice, next week in San Diego hopefully Marvel Entertainment CEO Kevin Feige may reveal some secrets as this artwork will be revealed to hundreds of fans in The Marvel Room.
Iron Man 3 is set for a 3rd May 2013 release in UK&Ireland and will star Ben Kingsley, Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Rebecca Hall, Ashley Hamilton, and Guy Pearce.
