Chaos Looms In The New Pressure UK Trailer

Chaos will be looming at a cinema near you next month when Studiocanal release war drama Pressure. Today we get another look at the film thanks to a brand new UK Trailer.

Being here in the UK, the weather is so unpredictable and we adapt to it best we can. In 1944 6th June it was D-Day, Pressure is the 72 hours leading upto that day. All down to Britain’s chief meteorological officer James Stagg delivering his most accurate forecast.

The cast for this film includes Andrew Scott, Brendan Fraser, Kerry Condon, Damian Lewis, Chris Messina, Henry Ashton, Con O’Neill, Daniel Quinn-Toye, Toby Williams, and Max Croes.

I’ve noticed some online comments calling this a spoiler. It’s not a spoiler, thanks to those men and women involved we can now recreate the events of their story on the big screen.

Synopsis |In the seventy two hours leading up to D-Day, all the pieces are in place except for one key element – the British weather.

Britain’s chief meteorological officer James Stagg (Andrew Scott) is called upon to deliver the most consequential forecast in history, locking him into a tense standoff with the entire Allied leadership. The wrong conditions could devastate the largest ever seaborne invasion, while any delay risks German intelligence catching on. With only his trusted aide Captain Kay Summersby (Kerry Condon) to confide in, and haunted by a catastrophic D-Day rehearsal, the final decision rests with Supreme Allied Commander Dwight D. Eisenhower (Brendan Fraser).

With only hours to go, the fate of the war and the lives of millions hang in the balance.

The film’s stellar cast is rounded out with Golden Globe® and Emmy Award winner Damian Lewis (Billions, Homeland, Band Of Brothers) in the role of Field Marshall Bernard Montgomery and Chris Messina (Air, Sharp Objects) as Irving P. Krick, Eisenhower’s trusted wartime Meteorologist.

Pressure will be released in UK and Irish cinemas from 9th September.
