Been from the UK I’m not going to boast I am a great fan or advocate of The British Royal family (not The English as the Americans refer them to be). However, this doesn’t mean to say I’m not interested in the story as much of the Royals or any Royal family have always been predominately a closed doors thing. Fans of Downton Abbey, recently finished Victoria similar period tv shows/movies The Crown might just fill those gaps of your ended shows.
The Crown stars Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth II, Matt Smith as Prince Phillip, John Lithgow as Sir Winston Churchill, Victoria Hamilton as the Queen Mother, Jared Harris as King George VI, Vanessa Kirby as Princess Margaret and Dame Eileen Atkins as Queen Mary, among others.
The Crown will be released in 1o parts via Netflix internationally including UK&Ireland from November 4th.
