Infinity Pool (2023)

When your the son of legendary genre filmmaker David Cronenberg your own films will come with lots of expectations. Brandon Cronenberg (Possessor) has lived up to that level so far, his latest Infinity Pool has opened many eyes.

The horror film stars Alexander SkarsgĂ€rd, Cleopatra Coleman and Mia Goth. We find ourselves a couple (SkarsgĂ€rd and Coleman) enjoying the ‘perfect’ holiday. When they venture outside the resorts gates they find themselves seduced the hedonistic nature of the island thanks to a freak accident.

The film had it’s world premiere at Sundance Film Festival last Sunday 22nd January. From the early reviews, it has a lot of shock value, with some critics mentioning the level of sex, gore and fluids on show. We expect nothing less.
Infinity Pool out in the UK from 24th March
While staying at an isolated island resort, James (Alexander SkarsgĂ€rd) and Em (Cleopatra Coleman) are enjoying a perfect vacation of pristine beaches, exceptional staff, and soaking up the sun. Guided by the seductive and mysterious Gabi (Mia Goth), they venture outside the resort grounds and find themselves in a culture filled with violence, hedonism, and untold horror. A tragic accident leaves them facing a zero tolerance policy for crime: either you’ll be executed, or, if you’re rich enough to afford it, you can watch yourself die instead.
