Black Panther Actor Chadwick Boseman Dies Aged 43

By the time I’ve posted this news, many will already know of the sad passing of American actor Chadwick Boseman. He sadly succumb to Colon Cancer, aged 42.

The actors most renowned role will be of as T’Challa, Black Panther in The Marvel Cinematic Universe. A character he first played in the 2016 Captain America: Civil War, then two years later with his own self titled film. He did play the character again in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.

The character and the world lived in was one of the most talked about ever. It was the first Black superhero and his fictional African homeland Wakanda, the most advanced technology country on the planet. Saving the Avengers on many occasions, sadly we won’t see him play the iconic character once again.

His last film was for Spike Lee‘s Da 5 Bloods, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom looks now to be the last time we’ll see the actor in a new film. Boseman made his name first in Television playing in a number of well known shows such as Law & Order, Lincoln Heights, E.R, Persons Unknown.

His first feature film was the 2012 The Kill Hole but it was his next film 42 playing first African-American to play in Major League Baseball in the modern era. He would make a name playing several more biopic films like James Brown in Get On Up and Marshall Thurgood in Marshall.

Chadwick Boseman fought the dreadful disease for four years, he died in his Los Angeles home with his wife and family by his side. They officially released this statement…
“A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much. From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more – all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy. It was the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther.”
