Assemble Absurdity In The Lego Movie UK Trailer

Hands up who had a big box of Lego when they where a kid? Hands up would ever think of those toys you had in your childhood would ever become feature movies in the future?No! Well they have and Lego The Movie is the latest to join the ranks now watch the trailer and see if its the greatest movie ever assembled, pardon the punt!

Directed by the team behind 21 Jump Street, Cloudy Chance Of Meatballs Phil Lord and Chris Miller, Lego The Movie tells the story of Emmet (Chris Pratt) a average Lego figure who is mistaken as a possible savior if the world. Why? Emmet stumble across a possible conspiracy by an evil tyrant (Will Ferrell) that could destroy the fabric blocks of society.

Whilst Hasbro toys especially Transformers drains the money from parents pockets, it’s no surprise that Lego a toy a lot older now wants in the cinematic game. It makes you wonder what creator Ole Kirk Christiansen thinks of all this, but surprise surprise there has been Lego movies for a while now. Remember all those big franchise related toys like Batman, Iron Man, Hulk even Star Wars and  Lord of The Rings ones? The quality of them toward what they where based on we’ll say doesn’t match however the quality of this trailer is superior and does actually convey the film as a film made out of lego. There is fun element here and the directors promised a big adventure which looks like what they’ll do but forgot to mention this ill play like one big massive commercial for Lego too

Synopsis

The LEGO Movie follows Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. Emmet (Chris Pratt) is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which he is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.

Lego The Movie stars the voices of  Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Will Arnett, Elizabeth Banks, Nick Offerman and Alison Brie but is it the greatest movie ever assembled or the greatest absurdity ever assembled you can make your mind up when Lego The Movie hits UK&Irish cinemas on 14th February 2014.
