Arnie Assembles The Troops In New 60 Second The Last Stand Trailer

Luis Guzman reminds us that you might need a sword, as usual Arnie has a big gun but Johnny Knoxville wears a silly hat and thinks he’s in Jackass in a new 60 second trailer for The Last Stand.

Arnie plays ex LAPD cop Roy Owen who relocates to a small border town to become the Sheriff  after been responsible for a botched operation in the city of angels. When he Roy hopes for a  more low key, things are until a notorious drugs baron (Eduardo Noriega) escapes federal custody making haste to the Mexican Border via Roy’s town.  Owens doesn’t take to kindly to the news and creates his merry band of police to block the baron’s route.

This trailer seems to play up on the humour of the film which looks a bit on the slapstick side of things but then reminds us it’s a 1980’s style  actioner. As for Mr Knoxville this trailer suggests his role in The Last Stand is more than been the film funny bone but are new audiences ready for more nostalgic ass kicking  ala 1980’s? Line up kids buy your tickets as Arnie has a lesson on how to take out the trash as retirement is for sissies

The Last Stand will arrive in UK&Ireland 25th January 2013 one week after it arrives in USA. The film co stars Johnny Knoxville, Forest Whitaker, Eduardo Noriega, Rodrigo Santoro, Jaimie Alexander, Peter Stormare, Genesis Rodriguez and Zach Gilford.
