American Horror Story Getting A Spin-off Series

As we eagerly wait the 10th season of American Horror Story, the series co-creator Ryan Murphy has announced there is a spin-off in the works.
Earlier this morning the uber producer was involved in a Zoom meet up with members of the cast announced the news on his Instagram account. The image was of a screengrab of the cast revealing for details of the upcoming series.
Murphy said the series will be called American Horror Stories. Other details are sparse, however what we learned each episode will be 1 hour long. The contained episodes will play on the ‘anthology’ part of the series with filming scheduled to start filming in 2021.
Here’s what he did reveal…
“American Horror Story cast zoom call…where we reminisced about the good times…the spin off we’re doing called American Horror Stories (one hour contained episodes)…when we will start filming the next season of the mothership…and other stuff I cannot print. It was so much fun and I’m glad we caught up. I miss everyone!”
The Zoom meet up wasn’t showcased online, keeping things private. We wouldn’t surprise if more details were discussed with the AHS cast.
The news comes after Season 10 production was delayed due to the current Covid-19 pandemic. This production and release could be delayed potentially nearly an year. So when could American Horror Stories start production and potentially be released? If we’re to estimate you would say 2022 the earliest, at this stage it would be wrong to predict. American Horror Story Season 10 will also be a ‘weather dependent’ theme with a ‘plan’ that’s up in the air in what theme they may take if they have to change things.
Having ‘contained’ episodes will keep things fresh for this project for viewers. It will let viewers delve into those other curious things or even characters we love to explore. What channel will American Horror Stories may appear on like AHS is up in the air. With FX now owned by Disney, Ryan Murphy has concerns that Disney may want more ‘toned’ down shows. Murphy did jump ship to Netflix who seem won’t have any problems, so could this AHS spin-off follow suit?
