3 Short Clips For Pedro Almodovar’s SKIN I LIVE IN

On August 26th Pedro Almodovar’s THE SKIN WE LIVE IN (La Piel Que Habito) will be released in UK & Ireland and to celebrate the movies release next and its UK premier this Wednesday at Film 4 Summer Screening at Sommerset House London, 3 short new clips have been released. Last Week Cinehouse Pierre was able to catch a preview of the filming and what he told me, its classic Almodovar plus more, its dark (possibly darker than Girl With The Dragon Tattoo)movie with plenty and suspense.

Ever since his wife was burned in a car crash, Dr. Robert Ledgard, an eminent plastic surgeon, has been interested in creating a new skin with which he could have saved her. After twelve years, he manages to cultivate a skin that is a real shield against every assault. In addition to years of study and experimentation, Robert needed a further three things: no scruples, an accomplice and a human guinea pig. Scruples were never a problem. Marilia, the woman who looked after him from the day he was born, is his most faithful accomplice. And as for the human guinea pig…

Starring Antonio Banderas, Elena Anaya, Blanca Suarez and Marisa Paredes, the film is released in UK cinemas on 26th August.
