Pablo Larrain’s Spencer First Trailer Kristen Stewart As Princess Diana

The highly anticipated Princess Diana  biopic film from Pablo Larrain‘s Spencer has unveiled it’s first UK Teaser Trailer. That ‘perfect day’ may not be as perfect as you think and they don’t know everything.

After much intrigue in choosing Kristen Stewart as Diana Spencer, at this stage we have no arguments in the choice. The promo may not reveal any big surprises, we do get a taster of Stewart’s English accent.  Everything is played to Lou Reed’s Perfect Day sung by a choir (name unknown), we do know score is from Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood. It wasn’t a perfect day for Diana  however the Royal Family we learn “They know everything.” “They don’t…” .

Spencer focuses on one weekend in the life of Princess Diana, as she spends the Christmas holiday with the royal family at the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, and decides to leave her marriage to Prince Charles.

The marriage of Princess Diana and Prince Charles has long since grown cold. Though rumours of affairs and a divorce abound, peace is ordained for the Christmas festivities at the Queen’s Sandringham Estate. There’s eating and drinking, shooting and hunting. Diana knows the game. But this year, things will be a whole lot different. SPENCER is an imagining of what might have happened during those few fateful days

The cast also includes Timothy Spall, Sean Harris, Sally Hawkins, Amy Manson with Jack Farthing as Prince Charles. Spencer still hasn’t got a UK and Irish cinema release date just yet. That may change next when the film makes its World Premiere at the Venice Film Festival on 3rd September.
