Behold! The Batman First Trailer Is Here! Na Na Na Batman!

Sunday has just got better as Warner Bros have just unleashed the first Trailer for Na Na Na Na The Batman!Like Wonder Woman 1984 and The Suicide Squad, DC FanDome delivered our first look of Robert Pattinson in action as the caped crusader. So far Matt Reeves film doesn’t disappoint!

We’ve known for a while this film is going to be a noir inspired film and the footage basically confirms this. Reeves also promised his Batman film will be different  including the iconic villains we expect  will be different  too.  This looks  a dark, brooding tale that could easily be from David Fincher‘s Se7en.

The big test will be for Robert Pattinson to convince he deserves to play Bruce Wayne. When the news was announced the former Twilight star was playing the role, it was met by a mixed response. Off course Twilight finished a long time ago and he’s starred in several films since proven he’s more than the generic franchise actor.  So far so good, he’s getting our thumbs up.

The big question is what will this film be all about? The official Synopsis hasn’t been released yet. From what we can see from this trailer there seems to be serial killer loose in Gotham. He or she is leaving the Dark Knight little letters coaxing him.

So this will certainly be that pulpy detective story we were promised and The Riddler as the main villain. Does the Wayne family  have a dark past  does The Riddler know that past? Is Batman considered a vigilante? There also seem to be plenty of ‘easter eggs’ pay homage to the comic books and Frank Miller era. I could go on forever, there’s a lot going on here and we cannot wait for this!

The cast also includes  Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle; Paul Dano as Edward Nashton; Jeffrey Wright as the GCPD’s James Gordon; John Turturro as Carmine Falcone; Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham D.A. Gil Colson; Barry Keoghan as Officer Stanley Merkel; Jayme Lawson as mayoral candidate Bella Reál; with Andy Serkis as Alfred; and Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot.

The Batman will be released in the UK and Ireland from 1st October 2021.
