Everyone Has Demons In The New Mutants First Trailer

There is something new to fear. Today is Friday the 13th and it may be unlucky for some people but for cinephiles, it’s a lucky one with The New Mutants first UK trailer.

Everyone has demons and the first spin-off feature movie for the X-Men franchise we go to the asylum into the darkness. Watch now and don’t make this an ‘unlucky day’…

Did you know baby rattlesnakes are more dangerous than adult ones?

What a perfect trailer to launch with Halloween only a few weeks away and of course today been Friday the 13th too. If you enjoyed the x-men movies and desire the franchise refresh, you wish is 20th Century Fox‘s command. Josh Boone (The Fault In Our Stars) directs what looks like a horror and our mutants are young, so unaware of their true powers. That could cause nightmares for anyone of any age, these young mutants are those baby rattlesnakes not yet learned to control their powers.

As for the actual plot for the story, we don’t know much about it yet as Fox and Marvel are keeping their cards close to there chests. What we do know is this…

The story of the New Mutants, a team of mutant heroes comprised of the first graduates from Charles Xavier’s school.

The Asylum also appears to be a secret Government facility certainly not Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters. Whatever the plot is, The New Mutants is inspired by Chris Claremont‘s 1982 comic book (drawn by Bob MacLeod) of the same name. They debuted in Marvel Graphic Novel Series issue 4 before getting their own comic book which ran from 1983 until 1991. The comic was resurrected again in 2003.

This trailer really teases the tone of the upcoming movie, introduces our young heroes and their mentor Dr Cecila Reyes (Alice Braga). There is talk James MacAvoy will be in this as Charles Xavier. It’s a lot darker and very different from the previous movies, a bit like Marvel’s TV show Legion very different. No word on who may be the villain of the movie yet, I’m sure the fans of the comic will have a list on who they want!

Our young mutants will be played by Blu Hunt (Moonstar aka Mirage), Anya Taylor-Joy (Illyana Rasputin aka Magik), Maisie Williams(Rahne Sinclair aka Wolfsbane), Charlie Heaton(Sam Guthrie aka Cannonball) and Henry Zaga (Roberto da Costa aka Sunspot).

There’s no confirmed UK or Irish release date apart from 2018. The U.S release date is 13th April 2018, so expect a similar release date.
