The Mosquito Bowl Trailer ‘Creates Legends Of Football’
The new official The Mosquito Bowl Trailer touches down online thanks to Netflix. The World War II drama that would create legends of American Football.
Peter Berg’s war drama is based on a remarkable true story, following the attack on Pearl Harbor, four of America’s top college football stars set their fame aside to enlist in the Marines.
When it comes to War films they are usually about the people who changed the direction of the war. Unsung heroes, like James Stagg in Pressure or Oskar Schindler in Schindler’s List. The Mosquito Bowl is slightly different as the heroes are those of the Gridiron, American Football.
This stars Nicholas Galitzine as John McLaughry, Bill Skarsgård as Bob Baumann , Ray Nicholson as Tony Butkovich, Tom Francis as David Schreiner. They play the soldiers who where also some of the game’s greatest be it the college game.
Berg once again teams up with Buzz Bassinger whom he worked with on Friday Night Lights. They both know the sport on the screen inside out, can they add in the intensity of World War II? Looking promising!
This also stars Brent Comer, Dominic Bogart, Jack Ingram, Ella Newton, Lola Bond, Stacy Clausen, Billy Smith, Steven Sammut, Blake Erickson, Claudia Ware , Peter Berg and Pat McAfee.
Synopsis | Following the attack on Pearl Harbor, four of America’s top College Football stars set their fame aside to enlist in the Marines. As they prepare for the brutal invasion of Okinawa, they’ll play in a legendary game featuring some of the greatest players in history – a game that, for many, will be the last they ever play.
The Mosquito Bowl is now getting a limited UK and Irish cinema release on 13th November. The film will make it’s streaming debut on Netflix from 25th November.
