In The Boss Trailer Melissa McCarthy Has A ‘Do-Over’
Her name is Michelle Darnell shes the wealthiest woman in America, that rich she comes down riding a golden Phoenix, but her ruthless nature gets her trouble in The Boss. 2016 Is going to be a massive year for Melissa McCarthy with Ghostbusters but before then She becomes a business mogul in need of a ‘do-over’ watch first UK trailer…
Formerly titled Michelle Darnell, The Boss see playing titular character as the self proclaimed wealthiest woman in the states whom finds herself behind bars thanks to dodgy inside trading. When she emerges ready to rebrand herself as America’s latest sweetheart, She has to find the help of her forgiving assistant Claire (Kristen Bell) but not everyone she screwed over is so quick to forgive and forget.
It’s been a longtime since Bridesmaids and it’s been a rollercoaster up and down ride for McCarthy, but since Spy things have been looking upwards. No need to hide business world is male dominated so it’s nice to see a female run the roost even if it’s a comedy. Plenty of visual jinks, witty one-liners on show here with 2 stand outs been the girl scout/ cookies scene and the Pinocchio gag been the highlight.
There is 2 concerns with this trailer it looks like it reveal a bit too much of the plot suggesting the compelling sentimentality that’s ruined previous films could hit The Boss. McCarthy’s real husband Ben Falcone is directing this one, he was also responsible for Tammy too but here’s hoping lessons have been learned from that one. Will Ferrell and Adam McKay production team are behind this one so hopefully they will have a few tricks up their sleeves help this one succeed.
The Boss is set for 26th February 2016 UK Release date (10th April USA), co-starring Peter Dinklage, Kathy Bates, Kristen Schaal, Timothy Simons, Margo Martindale, and Cecily Strong.
