This week was a little hard to decide on what to choose as film of the week, as it was between 3 movies. If you havent seen Mesrine:Death Instinct go see it, the 2 new releases this week where between The Time Traveler’s Wife and the one I decided to Choose was A PERFECT GETAWAY.

A Perfect Getaway is about For their honeymoon, newlyweds Cliff and Cydney head to the tropical islands of Hawaii. While journeying through the paradisaical countryside the couple encounters Kale and Cleo, two disgruntled hitchhikers and Nick and Gina, two wild but well-meaning spirits who help guide them through the lush jungles. The picturesque waterfalls and scenic mountainsides quickly give way to terror when Cliff and Cydney learn of a grisly murder that occurred nearby and realize that they’re being followed by chance acquaintances that suspiciously fit the description of the killers.

The Honeymoon couple are played by Milla Jovovich and Steve Zahn, Chris Hemsworth (played Kirk’s father at the beginning of Star Trek re-boot as well as Kym in Home and Away), Timothy Olyphant and Marley Shelton.

It has received decent reviews from USA simply due its release date in the states been when many of the other releases where simply poor. A perfect Getaway, I know wont be a oscar winning movie but a decent action drama horror flick. Think deliverance mixed up with the beach in the island settings for TV’s LOST.

If action type movie’s are not your cup of tea well go and see The Time Traveler’s Wife starring Erica Bana and Rachel McAdams in A romantic drama about a Chicago librarian with a gene that causes him to involuntarily time travel, and the complications it creates for his marriage. Its a Sci-fi esque type movie and this is one for the girls
