Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spiderman

Jeff Trammell, creator of the Disney+ animated series Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man, has told Collider that at least two more seasons of the show are on the way.

The show was originally planned to be part of the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe before being moved into its own universe so that it can explore more original stories. An example of this is the introduction of Josh Keatonโ€™s Eddie Brock, aka Venom, in the upcoming second season as well as the whole Symbiote storyline complete with a comic-accurate black suit.

Tramell told Collider, โ€œI donโ€™t know what I can say, and no oneโ€™s stopping me, so Iโ€™m gonna say weโ€™re already working on Seasons 3 and 4 of Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man.โ€ He also added, “I’m really excited for people to see more from Nico Minoru (Grace Song) this season. She’s a big part of Season 2, and I think people are really going to dig what we’re doing with her. Eddie Brock, I’m a huge Eddie Brock fan. It was announced that Josh Keaton is playing Eddie Brock, so I’m excited for people to see what he’s doing, as well as… Norman’s up to some stuff that I’m really excited about as well.“

Hudson Thames will reprise his role as Spider-Man, with many of the original cast also returning, including Colman Domingo as Norman Osborn and Charlie Cox as Daredevil. It’s also been confirmed that Gwen Stacy, along with villains like The Lizard and The Rhino, will all appear in the new season, as well as the reveal that a key figure in Peterโ€™s life is still alive.

Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man Season 2 premieres on Disney+ on January 13th.
