Tomorrow Friday 3rd April Noah Baumbach‘s While We’re Young arrives in UK&Irish cinemas. The film is an openly funny cross-generational comedy of manners about aging, ambition, and success, as well as a moving portrait of a marriage tested by the invading forces of youth. Starring Ben Stiller and Naomi Watts a happily married middle aged New York couple Josh and Cornelia Srebnick, Josh is a filmmaker been stuck in his labour of love a film documentary for nearly ten years. Enter Jamie and Darby (Adam Driver and Amanda Seyfried) a free-spirited young couÂple, who are spontaneous and untethered, ready to drop everything in pursuit of their next passion. For Josh, it’s as if a door has opened back to his youth—or a youth he wishes he once had.
Noah Baumbach took time out to chat to us about the film and how world around us is based around the younger generation, we may get old but it doesn’t mean to say we can’t do those things ever again.
