‘We’re Not Alone’ In The Astronaut Trailer starring Kate Mara
Are we truly alone in the universe? It’s a question we’ve asked for a long time, could it be answered with 3I/Atlas comet? In a creepy The Astronaut Trailer, Kate Mara says ‘we’re not alone’!
This is the directorial feature debut for Jess Varley which made it’s debut earlier this years SXSW. It also stars Laurence Fishburne, Gabriel Luna, Ivana Milicevic, and Macy Gray.
The Astronaut follows an astronaut (Kate Mara) who crash lands back to Earth, a General (Laurence Fishburne) who places her in quarantine for rehabilitation and testing. As disturbing events unfold, she fears that something extraterrestrial has followed her home.
Humanity is about to learn we’re not alone… When astronaut Sam Walker returns from her first space mission, she’s found miraculously alive in a punctured capsule floating deep off the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. Required to be quarantined, her adopted father General William Harris places Sam under NASA surveillance in a high security house, isolated in the woods. Reunited with her husband, Sam appears to be re-acclimating and preparing for her next mission. When disturbing occurrences begin happening around the property, she fears that something extraterrestrial has followed her back to Earth, and the agencies meant to protect her are endangering her life. Not even those close to her can be trusted.
There is no word on the UK distributor nor potential release date. The Astronaut will be released in the U.S cinemas by Vertical Entertainment from 17th October.
