Watch UK Trailer For FLIGHT As Robert Zemeckis Returns To Land Of The Living
It’s hard to believe the last decade Robert Zemeckis has been more interested in his computerized characters than his reallife ones, this is the sam director that brought us The Back To The Future Franchise, Forest Gump . But now he’s returning to the land of the living to direct his first live action film in 12 years with FLIGHT starring Denzel Washington and the first trailer has landed online.
Washington plays Whip an commercial airline pilot who safely lands a badly damaged airplane saving nearly everyone onboard becoming a hero to not just the survivors but in the eyes of the press too. As crash investigation starts it unfolds that the crash maybe the result of more than just a damaged airplane possibly the result of what the pilot was under the influence of from the night before. This actually looks pretty good stuff, very dramatic a lot like the films we used to see alot of from the decades Robert Zemeckis was the king off, proving the directing chops are still there. There is one question, has this trailer spoiled the occasion and given virtually everything away? Hopefully not as this one looks like a film with many strong performances from a great ensembled cast of John Goodman, Don Cheadle, James Badge Dale, Melissa Leo,Bruce Greenwood, could we be looking at a Oscar nod for Denzel? Possibly as this is the type of performance Oscar judges love reminds me overall of Dustin Hoffman, Hero film scenario too.
FLIGHT will be touching down in UK&Ireland from January 25th, 2013.
