Originally premiered at 2021 Sundance Film Festival, sadly missed by many. However those who did see it loved this, now it’s our chance to enjoy this lo-fi indie.

Strawberry Mansion  is set in the near future ad a surveillance state that audits your dreams. From this you are taxed, when a mild mannered government agent heads to the home of a ageing artist. Here he will audit her dreams, discovering  a library of dreams on VHS Tapes.  A secret offers the agent love and escape.

Full of inventive dreamscapes and wildly imaginative low-fi visual effects, Kentucker Audley and Albert Birney’s playfully surreal romantic fantasy Strawberry Mansion is a uniquely crafted and critically-acclaimed film packed full of invention, charm and ideas.

In the not-too-distant future, an all-seeing surveillance state conducts “dream audits” to collect taxes on the unconscious lives of the populace. Mild-mannered government agent James Preble (Kentucker Audley) travels to a remote farmhouse to audit the dreams of Arabella “Bella” Isadora (Penny Fuller), an eccentric, aging artist. Entering Bella’s vast VHS archive, which contains a lifetime of dreams, Preble stumbles upon a secret that offers him a chance at love – and hope for escape.

Strawberry Mansion is written and directed by Kentucker Audley and Albert Birney (Sylvio) .

The film stars Kentucker Audley (She Dies Tomorrow), Reed Birney (The Hunt), Penny Fuller (All The President’s Men), and Grace Glowicki. The film features a score by renowned electronic musician Dan Deacon (Hustle).

Strawberry Mansion will be released in select  UK and Irish cinemas and on demand  from 16th September.
