101 Films have released the UK Trailer for Hijacking survival thriller 97 Minutes starring Alec Baldwin and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers.

The film comes from Finnish filmmaker Timo Vuorensola, who’ll people will know from his Iron Sky films. Those films are seen as unapologetic fun films that embrace it’s badness, Vuorensola’s previous film Jeepers Creepers: Reborn that was unfortunately bad.

For this one we find a airplane has been hijacked, which has one other problem it runs out of fuel in 97 minutes time. NSA director (Baldwin) orders to shoot the plane down again opposition whose passengers fate may lie in the hands of an undercover agent (Rhys-Meyers). There is one problem that agent has been embedded into the terrorist cell who have hijacked the airplane.

A hijacked 767 will crash in just 97 minutes when its fuel runs out. Against the strong will of NSA Deputy Toyin, NSA Director Hawkins (Alec Baldwin) prepares to have the plane shot down before it does any catastrophic damage on the ground, leaving the fate of the innocent passengers in the hands of Alex (Jonathan Rhys Meyers), an undercover Interpol agent who has been embedded in the terrorist cell.

The film also stars MyAnna Buring, Jo Martin, Michael Sirow, Pavan Grover, Anjul Nigam, Peter Brooke, and Slavko Sobin. 101 Films will release 97 Minutes on Digital platforms in the UK and Ireland from 1oth July.
