Buster Keaton’s 3 Ages Set For Master Of Cinema Special Edition Release
Buster Keatonโs first foray into making feature films celebrates its centenary with a brand-new Blu-ray release
We do enjoy celebrations and so do Eureka Entertainment. In August they will celebrate theย 100th Anniversary of Buster Keaton‘sย 3 Agesย set for release as part of The Masters of Cinema Series in its UK debut on Blu-ray.
The first feature that Buster Keaton wrote, directed, and starred in, Three Ages spoofs D.W. Griffithโs historical epic Intolerance. Like that film, Three Ages follows multiple narratives across different historical eras, which Keaton packs to the brim with incredible stunts and hilarious visual gags.
Across three eras โ the Stone Age, Ancient Rome, and โmodern timesโ โ Keaton competes for the love of a woman (Margaret Leahy) whilst having to defend himself from a nasty bully (Wallace Beery).
The release will mark another Buster Keaton masterpieceย part of The Masters Of Cinema series with its UK debut on Blu-ray. Coming from a stunning restoration completed in 2022 by the Cohen Film Collection.
