Watch UK Trailer For Mod Drama The Pebble and The Boy

once a mod, always a mod as Munro Films and Lightbulb Film Distribution release the official UK Trailer for British indie The Pebble And The Boy. The Mod culture takes centre stage as a son honours his fathers love for the culture .
Over the years we’ve seen films that just want to replicate virtually every scene from Quadrophenia rather trying to make a film inspired by. This one hopefully doing something a little different whilst celebrating the Mods and if you love the music especially you will be in for a treat. It features tracks from Paul Weller, The Jam, The Style Council, Secret Affair and The Chords. The title of the film is taken from the final track on Weller’s eighth studio album, As Is Now.
The Pebble And The Boy tells the story of young man John (Patrick McNamee) who lives and breathes everything to do with Mods. All thanks to his dad who sadly died, who also gave him his Lambretta scooter. To honour his dad’s memories he decides to ride his bike from him home town of Manchester down south to the mecca of Mod culture, Brighton with his dad’s ashes.
A boy, his Dad’s ashes and a Lambretta scooter… John embarks on a journey from Manchester to Brighton, the spiritual home of the Mods, to scatter his late father’s ashes.
The film was written and directed by Chris Green (Me, Myself and Di) and stars Patrick McNamee (Our Girl), Sacha Parkinson (Coronation Street), Max Boast (Sex Education), Patsy Kensit (Emmerdale), Ricci Harnett (Rise of the Footsoldier) and Jesse Birdsall (Hollyoaks).
The Pebble And The Boy will be released in UK and Irish cinemas nationwide from Friday 27th August and available On Demand later in the year.
