Ambition, honour and betrayal, as Central City Media release the UK Trailer for Hong Kong crime saga Where The Wind Blows (้ขจๅ†่ตทๆ™‚) also known as Theory Of Ambitions.

Described as a big budget love letter to Hong Kong, this is a film about ambition, honour and betrayal, combining the thrilling tension of Infernal Affairs with the power plays and intrigue of The Godfather.

This film marks the first onscreen pairing of superstars Aaron Kwok (Port of Call) and Tony Leung Chiu-wai (Infernal Affairs). Amazing to think, both actors have been big players in Hong Kong cinema for several decades.

The film is an ambitious, genre-bending epic loosely based on the rise and fall of the notorious โ€œFour Great Sergeantsโ€ in 1960s Hong Kong. It also centres on the friendship and rivalry between two resourceful police detectives, Lui Lok (Kwok) and Nam Kong (Chui-wai), who forge dangerous alliances with organised crime.

We do love our crime films from Hong Kong, rarely do new films from the region find themselves in our cinemas. Leung Chui-wai Won best actor award at Asian Film Awards and next month you can see why he won the award.

The decades spanning story of two very different policemen who rise to power in Hong Kong during British rule, and end up at odds with both organised crime groups and the anti-corruption unit vowing to bring them down.

The film also stars Michael Hui, Jessie Li, Du Juan, Patrick Tam and Michael Chow. Where The Wind Blows will be released in UK and Irish cinemas from 29th September.
