Watch Trailer For Steven Soderbergh’s Behind the Candelabra

The film labelled as been ‘too gay’ by film studios Steven Soderbergh‘s Behind the Candelabra now has it’s official trailer ahead of its upcoming television premier.

Starring Michael Douglas as Liberace with Matt Damon playing his young gay lover/friend/ confidante Scott Thorson with the film focusing on the boisterous relationship the pair had. Whilst the trailer shows the film will play on Liberace’s camp glitzy camp lifestyle  but suggesting it will be told from Thorson’s point of view. It looks intriguing typical Soderbergh who won’t be scared to delve into the dark overtones of the relationship either.

Whilst Side Effects will be seen by many as Soderbergh’s swansong Behind the Candelabra which will be aired on HBO on 26th May (USA) UK&Ireland will actually see the film cinematically on 15th June 2013! The film also stars Dan Aykroyd,Scott Bakula, Rob Lowe and Debbie Reynolds.
