Watch The UK Trailer For Martha Tilston’s The Tape

Cornwall based folk singer Martha Tilston may have a new album and tour coming in the near future, her next project is heading to the big screen. Sparky Pictures have released the official UK Trailer for The Tape the singer’s debut feature which she has written, and directed.

The follows a disillusioned songwriter (Tilston) who finds creative inspiration at an Cornish based cliff top house. After recording a new album she crosses paths with an lawyer, the tape of her new album ricochets both their lives in a direction they never expected.

Tally, a disillusioned songwriter drifting through life, finds her inspiration renewed at an atmospheric Cornish cliff-top house and records a single analogue copy of her new album. When corporate lawyer Leo is drawn into Tally’s world of music and mythology, the implications ricochet through both their lives with the tape acting as a talisman, helping those who encounter it to truly come alive.

The Tape is Cornwall based singer-songwriter Martha Tilston’s debut feature film. The Tape is a true feat of creativity, with Martha recording the soundtrack in scene on-set whilst shooting and starring in the film.

The film stars Martha Tilston, Lee Hart and Steve Jacobs.

The Tape will be released by Sparky Pictures in the UK and Ireland in select cinemas from 24th September.
