I Blame Society (Blue Finch Film Releasing)

Blue Finch Film Releasing have released the UK Trailer for Feminist horror satire I Blame Society. Gillian Wallace Horvat‘s film takes a poke a tinseltown in the shape of a mockumentary hoping to deliver ‘murderous extremes’.

The director herself also stars as herself, as an struggling filmmaker attempting to make a movie inspired to deliver the ‘perfect murder’. The film attempt to challenge the blurred lines between authenticity, reality and madness.

The film is described as The Blair Witch Project meets American Psycho shot through a feminist lens. A big promise we cannot wait to check out! It reminds us a little of a film delivered in a similar way to Spree, so expect the unexpected with the darkest of dark humour.

A budding filmmaker takes her desire to make a new film to murderous extremes in razor-sharp and shocking meta-comedy I Blame Society.

When a struggling filmmaker, played by writer-director Gillian Wallace Horvat, senses her peers are losing faith in her ability to succeed, she decides to prove herself with a new creative project โ€“ dispatching of her best friendโ€™s odious girlfriend on film. But once that line is crossed, why stop with just one murder when modern society and the LA film world offer up so many candidates deserving of death?

The Blair Witch Project meets American Psycho shot through a feminist lens, I Blame Society is an acclaimed black comedy which charts the increasingly blurred boundaries between art, authenticity and full-blown madness with outrageous results.

Directed by and starring Gillian Wallace Horvat (Kiss Kiss Fingerbang) and from the producing team behind genre hit Come To Daddy, The film also stars Chase Williamson (John Dies at the End, Beyond the Gates), Keith Poulson (PVT Chat) and Jennifer Kim (She Dies Tomorrow).

Blue Finch Film Releasing presents I Blame Society on Digital Download 19th April.
