We all know actor musician Mary J.Blige can act, Netflix‘s Mudbound proved that she has the acting chops. The film proved those were dramatic ones, how about horror? It’s an genre you wouldn’t think to see her in, but you are with Body Cam.
In this one she plays a cop investigating the peculiar murder of a fellow officer. Is it something supernatural targeting the cops? Whatever it is can she stop the killings or is the killing beyond her understanding?
We may miss our visits to our local cineplex’s , lockdown has unearthed many new possibilities. The screen for now maybe smaller, or even online. While investigating the bizarre murder of a fellow officer, veteran Renee Lomito (Mary J. Blige) discovers a mysterious figure in their body cam footage. Haunted by visions of the event, she suspects something supernatural is targeting the cops in her unit. Now, in a race against time to find the one person she thinks can stop these killings, Renee uncovers a sinister secret among the police force surrounding the shooting and cover up of an unarmed youth. Nat Wolff also stars in this intense action thriller.
Body Cam is directed by Malik Vitthal, the film also stars Nat Wolff, Anika Noni Rose, Theo Rossi, David Zayas and Demetrius Grosse.
No word on a UK Release Date. If you live in the U.S, expect this one first on VOD from 19th May, then on 2nd June on DVD.
