Watch The Totally Bonkers Space Jam: A New Legacy First Trailer!

Warner Bros have today delivered a little early Easter Present in the shape of the official first UK Trailer for Space Jam: A New Legacy. The long awaited sequel will arrive this Summer and the first look at that promo, first impression? It’s totally bonkers!

Space Jam came out 24 years ago critically it was mediocre, however cinephiles were far more positive. It was originally born out of a Nike TV Advert which some of the Looney Tunes. decade or so later the film collected nostalgia for a sequel picked up and slowly support grew , this Summer that sequel will be released.

The film is an live action/animated adventure starring NBA star LeBron James (original film was Michael Jordan) and Bugs Bunny plunged into a virtual world that will only free him by forcing him to play basketball.

There is plenty of love in this one, kids will love and the parents will enjoy the little ‘odes’ to Warner Bros other franchises (Game Of Thrones). Like any film, it looks promising and we’ll only judge the film after we watch it…

Welcome to the Jam! NBA champion and global icon LeBron James goes on an epic adventure alongside timeless Tune Bugs Bunny with the animated/live-action event “Space Jam: A New Legacy,” from director Malcolm D. Lee and an innovative filmmaking team including Ryan Coogler and Maverick Carter. This transformational journey is a manic mashup of two worlds that reveals just how far some parents will go to connect with their kids. When LeBron and his young son Dom are trapped in a digital space by a rogue A.I., LeBron must get them home safe by leading Bugs, Lola Bunny and the whole gang of notoriously undisciplined Looney Tunes to victory over the A.I.’s digitized champions on the court: a powered-up roster of professional basketball stars as you’ve never seen them before. It’s Tunes versus Goons in the highest-stakes challenge of his life, that will redefine LeBron’s bond with his son and shine a light on the power of being yourself. The ready-for-action Tunes destroy convention, supercharge their unique talents and surprise even “King” James by playing the game their own way.

The film includes Don Cheadle, Cedric Joe, Khris Davis, Sonequa Martin-Green, along with voice-actors Eric Bauza, Jeff Bergman, Kath Soucie, Bob Bergen, and Gabriel Iglesias. I’m no expert of Basketball, apparently  there is several appearances from a number of NBA stars too.

Space James: A New Legacy will be released in the UK and Ireland from 16th July in cinemas.
