When it comes to films oozing with style, arthouse tropes and lashings of grindhouse, look no further than Hélène Cattet and Bruno Forzani. Next month Shudder will release Reflection In A Dead Diamond, today we get a look at the stylishly delicious Trailer.

The Belgium filmmaking husband and wife duo have given such delights as Amer, The Strange Color of Your Body’s Tears, and Let the Corpses Tan.  All films may not always make such sense, but they let your imagination run, play with your mind. The latest film delves into spy thriller mixing Italian comic books and James Bond espionage.

Reflection In A Dead Diamond finds ourselves southern France following a  former spy. Living in a luxury hotel who finds themselves confronting their demons.

This film stars Fabio Testi, Yannick Renier, Koen De Bouw, Maria De Medeiros, Céline Camara and newcomer Thi Mai Nguyen.

Synopsis: When the mysterious woman in the room next door disappears, a debonair 70-year-old ex-spy living in a luxury hotel on the Côte d’Azur is confronted by the demons and darlings of a lurid past in which moviemaking, memories and madness collide.

Reflection in a Dead Diamond will stream on Shudder from 5th December. Shudder do state the film will have an limited theatrical release, it only state the U.S and that date will be 21st November.
