Watch The New IMAX SUPER 8 TV Spot

JJ Abrams SUPER 8 was released in USA last weekend but here in UK & Ireland we have 10 weeks before we get see the movie. Over the weekend the first trailer has started previewing in UK and I do hope the buzz thats electrified the American campaign gets as exciting so when August 5 th arrives everyone can enjoy it! Below is an new tv spot promoting the imax version of the movie and we do get to see the movies creator JJ Abrams (lost, star trek) give the movie a real push and telling us how excited to see it in IMAX. Im excited are you? Are you a adult whose child years was spoiled by the magic of Spielberg movies like the Goonies, Monster Squad even Close and counters of a third kind? Maybe SUPER 8 is that nostalgic trip down memory lane you desire.

In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness a catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth – something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined.
