Watch The New Epic Inside Look Featurette For Oblivion

It’s hard to believe 31st March British Summer Time will have officially and one giant step towards the Summer’s big blockbusters with Oblivion starring Tom Cruise the first up. Today we have a new behind the scenes look featurette at Joseph Kosinski‘s (Tron Legacy)thanks to Universal Pictures in which we hear the director and Tom Cruise talk about the move, but most off all it showcases some great new footage.

Tom Cruise plays Jack Harper one of last remaining Earth based drone repairmen after been destroyed in a long brutal war with the Scavs. As Jack enters his final stretch excavation of Earth’s remaining resources he rescues a mysterious woman (Olga Kurylenko),however the rescue sparks off a chain of events that change the way he thinks.

One of the other things that has been attracting alot of attenion for Oblivion is the film’s soundtrack which has been created by M83. The score features a hybrid of the traditional M83 electronic sound combined with sweeping orchestral elements. It has 16 score cues, along with a brand new song by M83 featuring Norwegian singer-songwriter Susanne Sundfør used as the end title for the film. Below we have a sample track for the the film….

Some people don’t seem to be enthusiastic about Oblivion possibly due to who the director is and his last films (Tron: Legacy critically disappointing) and it’s lead actor Tom Cruise. Ok some of Cruises previous films have been big but not spectacular however history has shown the world’s most famous Scientologist has proven to exceed expectations once and a while, so in the words of the featurette, Oblivion is going to be an ‘epic story’ which will surprise a few doubters, fingers crossed!

Oblivion stars Morgan Freeman,Andrea Riseborough, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, and Melissa Leo. The film will arrive in UK&Ireland 12th April 2013 and 19th April 2013 USA.

Synopsis:
