Watch The Dramatic The Fifth Estate Trailer Starring Benedict Cumberbatch

He’s the Aussie the world love and hate but is he an unsung hero or a traitor? Julien Assange the founder of wikileaks a whistleblower or an security threat, watch the first trailer The Fifth Estate.

Directed by Bill Condon the actor of the moment Benedict Cumberbatch as the unorthodox activist The Fifth Estate is based on the book Inside WikiLeaks: My Time With Julian Assange At The World’s Most Dangerous Website and WikiLeaks: Inside Julian Assange’s War On Secrecy. The film is based on the early days of Wikileaks the website that used to expose dodgy bankers which eventually moved on national security the part that’s divided, the watchdog that started to influence the common man & woman.

Whilst the film captures magneticism of Assange but will The Fifth Estate be an attack on him or a balanced view of the whole shenanigans? Can people trust Assange ? The film seems to take premature approach virtually taking a biopic route whatever your views we can’t deny Cumberbatch is on top form again. A decent trailer which at times finds it hard to decide what path it wants to take.

The Fifth Estate for now is been targeted for a 1st January 2014 UK release with USA a bit sooner, 16th October. The film co-stars Daniel Bruhl, Laura Linney,Anthony Mackie, David Thewlis, Peter Capaldi, Dan Stevens, Alicia Vikander, and Carice van Houten.
