Sundance may have happened last month, those attend always talk about some of the films for a long time. Jane Schoenbrun‘s I Saw The TV Glow is one of those films and A24 Films have released the first (U.S) bonkers Trailer.
Schoenbrun will be known for her previous film We’re All Going To The World’s Fair. That film got some solid reviews, her latest I Saw The TV Glow received rave reviews. When A24 released the Trailer this afternoon, the buzz has exploded online.
Compared to the previous effort, this one has a bigger budget, production and a known cast. Two of the cast are Justice Smith (Dungeons & Dragons) and Brigette Lundy-Paine (Bill & Ted Face The Music).
Both play Owen and Maddy who have been fans of a late night TV Show, which got cancelled. When the mysterious supernatural show stopped, they started becoming victims of strange things when reality starts to blur.
Popular TV shows getting cancelled seems the norm these days. This once again looks a cautionary tale that plays into reality and what’s not. Here’s hopping we don’t have wait long for this!
Teenager Owen is just trying to make it through life in the suburbs when his classmate introduces him to a mysterious late-night TV show – a vision of a supernatural world beneath their own. In the pale glow of the TV, Owen’s view of reality begins to crack.
The film also stars Ian Foreman, Helena Howard, Lindsey Jordan, Danielle Deadwyler, and Fred Durst. I Saw The TV Glow will be released in the U.S by A24 Films in cinemas 3rd May. There is no word on who will and when this film will be released in the UK and Ireland yet.
