Watch The Surreal First Trailer Simon Pegg’s A FANTASTIC FEAR OF EVERYTHING

This a great but surreal little treat for Good Friday, Simon Pegg via his Twitter account has revealed the first trailer for his next film A FANTASTIC FEAR OF EVERYTHING. I’ll be honest I’ve never heard about this film or if I have i’ve forgotten about it  but now the actor has released the trailer I’m glad I know about the film now.

Simon Pegg plays Jack a children’s author come crime novelist who is a nervous wreck and is sent into a a paranoid nightmare when he has to confront the demons of his life.The film is co directed by Chris Hopewell who made his name directing many videos for Radiohead andhis partner in crime is former Kula shaker frontman Crispian Mills.

The film looks a very ambitious, quirky, weird looking film packed with dark humour very stylish which does look like it has absurd Terry Gillam/Wes Anderson  inspiration which I think is dragging me into to this film.With the exception of Star Trek, Mission Impossible Simon Pegg has struggled to match the same level of success without the involvement of his buddy Edgar Wright or even his acting pal Nick Frost, but going by this new trailer, thing might just be about to change.

As there’s no American release, we can assume this is the UK/Irish trailer as we do have a release date of June 8th, A  Fantastic Fear Of Everything also stars Paul Freeman, Clare Higgins, Clare Higgins, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Amara Karan and Kerry Shale.

Jack is a children’s author turned crime novelist whose detailed research into the lives of Victorian serial killers has turned him into a paranoid wreck, persecuted by the irrational fear of being murdered. When Jack is thrown a life-line by his long-suffering agent and a mysterious Hollywood executive takes a sudden and inexplicable interest in his script, what should be his big break rapidly turns into his big breakdown, as Jack is forced to confront his worst demons; among them his love life, his laundry and the origin of all fear.
