Watch new featurette for The Interview

Meeting on the set of the brilliant, but short-lived Judd Apatow TV series, Freaks and Geeks, Seth Rogen and James Franco have been firm friends, both on and off the screen ever since.  Previously appearing in films such as stoner-comedy, Pineapple Express and end of the world tale, This is The End, the pair deal with more international matters in their new film, The Interview.  A film which has already sparked controversy, despite not being released yet, with the North Korean government stating that the film “shows the desperation of the US government and American society“.

We’ve been sent a new featurette for the film, and in the video we see interviews with both cast and crew, and giving us an idea of what we can expect when the film is released next year.

The Interview tells the story of late-night TV reporter Dave Skylark (Franco) and his producer Aaron Rapport (Rogen).  They discover that Kim Jong-un is a big fan of their show, and wishes to have an interview with them in North Korea.  Wanting to establish themselves as serious journalists the two eagerly get set to travel to North Korea,  until the CIA get wind of the trip, and assign them an important mission: assassinate Kim Jong-un.

Directed by Rogen and long-time collaborator Evan Goldberg, The Interview will hope to achieve the same success as the last time the two were at the helm in This is The End.
