Watch new clip for Wild Card starring Jason Statham

It looks like March is a good month for action fans, with us not only seeing Sean Penn‘s Taken-esque turn in Gunman, but also Jason Statham in Con Air director Simon West’s latest, Wild Card. What may set Wild Card apart from normal action films, is that it was written by the incredible William Goldman, the man responsible for Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid, Marathon Man, and The Princess Bride.

In Wild Card, Statham plays a Las Vegas bodyguard, Nick Wild, with lethal skills and a gambling problem. When he lands a punch on the wrong man, and ends up on the wrong side of the mob, he is forced to make one last play to change his fortunes.

In the new clip from the film, titled Holly Needs Help, we see Nick share a tender moment over the phone with his beaten friend, Holly (Dominik García-Lorido).

The film also stars Milo Ventimiglia, Michael Angarano, Anne Heche, Jason Alexander, Sofia Vergara, and Stanley Tucci. Wild Card is released in UK cinemas on 20th March.
