Is Emma Stone an alien? She might be in Yorgos Lanthimos’ latest genre bending film, Bugonia. Universal Pictures release first UK Trailer for this sci-fi conspiracy thriller or is it another type of film?
After the success of Poor Things, fans were divided with Acts Of Kindness we’ll be curious to see how things go with this one. This is actually an English language remake of 2003 South Korean film Save The Green Planet. The original directed by Jang Joon-hwan who seems to have really eager for his film re-created for a new audience. With the likes of Ari Aster onboard producing this darkly comedic sci-fi looks absolute bonkers.
Bugonia stars Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons with the synopsis straight simple straight to the point. We follow two conspiracy obsessed men are determined to kidnapped an high powered CEO (Stone). She also might be an alien who wants to destroy Earth.
The trailer is short but sweet, it introduces the main characters. I have to admit, not been a fan of Lanthimos’ films since The Lobster, will things change?

The film also stars Aidan Delbis, Stavros Halkias, and Alicia Silverstone. Bugonia will be released in UK, Irish and U.S cinemas in October, exact release date still to be announced.
